"Assessing The Usefulness Of A EU Ship Sanitation Programme And Coordinated Action For The Control Of Communicable Diseases In Cruise Ships And Ferries", acronym SHIPSAN
We welcome you to the SHIPSAN website! The SHIPSAN Project examines the prevention and control of Public Health threats to passengers and crew of cruise ships and ferries within the EU and provides the basis for the development of an integrated EU Ship Sanitation Program. The Project achieved approval and secured funding by the European Commission in September 2006, and was launched on the 1st of December 2006. It will be conducted over a two year period and involves 19 partners both from the EU Member States and from International and EU Organizations. The website is designed to disseminate the results of the SHIPSAN project and to facilitate the communication of the associated and collaborative partners. For this reason the website is divided into two parts: one which is open to everybody interested in the subject and the member's area which is restricted to the collaborators of the project. Your comments for further improvement of the website are mostly welcomed.
